Report on Illicit Drugs in the Czech Republic 2024 published

Prague, 7 November 2024 - One third of adults in the Czech Republic have used cannabis substances at least once in their lives; nearly 1 million people used them last year. 47 000 people use illegal drugs at risk. Thanks to the interventions of addiction services, the incidence of consequences of illicit drug use in the Czech Republic is low, even in the European context. However, the network of addiction services needs further development.

Inauguration of the EUDA

The new European Union Drugs Agency (EUDA) starts its work on 2 July 2024. This marks the beginning of a week of events celebrating the inauguration of the new organisation. The agenda for the inauguration week is published on the agency's website. A live-streamed press conference will be held on July 3.
