The report outlines the current situation and latest developments in drug policy, presents the results of studies on the scope and patterns of drug use and summarises the situation and changes in the fields of prevention, treatment and harm reduction, as well as developments in drug-related crime and recent trends in the drug market. Compared to the previous year, this report includes more information on tobacco and alcohol, including the extent and degree of use of these substances, the consequences of their use and the supply of tobacco and alcohol. It also addresses the latest situation regarding addictive substances and addiction services during the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) in spring 2020.
