The nine EU Agencies active in the field of freedom, security and justice convened today in Budapest for a high-level meeting, chaired by CEPOL, to take stock of the main achievements in 2022, which includes the ongoing engagement with Ukraine and Moldova.  29.11.2022 

Today, the EMCDDA signed its first working arrangement with the European Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL) in Budapest aimed at boosting learning and knowledge exchange in the area of security. The signatories were EMCDDA Director Alexis Goosdeel and CEPOL Executive Director Montserrat Marín López. 28.11.2022 

Heads of the national focal points (NFPs) of the Reitox network are meeting in Lisbon today to discuss network business and the planning of activities for 2023. On the agenda of the three-day meeting are discussions on the revision of the new EMCDDA mandate, international cooperation projects and recent and future policy and institutional developments. 28.11.2022 

EMCDDA staff members will be among the 1 000 speakers gathering this week in Lisbon at the European Conference on Addictive Behaviours and Dependencies (Lisbon Addictions 2022). Under the overarching theme of ‘Global Addictions’, the event will showcase the latest scientific knowledge in this domain and explore challenges relating to illicit drugs, alcohol, tobacco, screen addiction, gambling and other addictive behaviours. It is the largest European conference in the area of addictions. 21.11.2022 

This week, the EMCDDA is hosting the closing conference of its international cooperation projects with the Western Balkans and European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) region (1). The two-day event, kicking off today, is being held in the margins of Lisbon Addictions 2022, Europe’s largest conference in the area of addictions. 21.11.2022 

Drug-related health and security threats in the Western Balkans are highlighted today in a new report published by the EU drugs agency (EMCDDA). The emergence of new drug trafficking routes, the expansion of online markets, and the availability of a broader spectrum of substances, are among the findings highlighted in two new reports published today by the EU drugs agency (EMCDDA) (1).
